chiropractic techniques
we offer

There are over 200 chiropractic techniques.

We offer quite a few techniques to serve a larger population,

as patients respond uniquely to various techniques.

Chiropractic Therapy Session

Diversified Technique is a common and widely used. It aims to restore proper alignment and function to the spine by applying specific adjustments. The goal is to correct spinal misalignments (subluxations) that may cause pain, stiffness, or other neurological symptoms.

The technique involves a quick and precise movement to apply force to the affected joint. Adjustments are tailored to the individual patient's needs, targeting specific vertebrae or spinal segments. We are especially trained to adjust deeply and efficiently to accommodate the largest and strongest patients, like professional athletes, but also very gently to properly adjust newborns...and everything in between.

Thompson Drop Table Technique is a chiropractic treatment that uses a special table to adjust spinal alignment. The Chiropractor adjusts the drop piece to match the patient's weight and then applies a quick thrust to the area of the spine that needs adjustment, so that portion of the table drops about an inch and the adjustment requires less force. This technique is gentle and comfortable. It can be effective for people who can't tolerate twisting and turning on their side, was well as used for a variety of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, and pregnancy. â€‹

Bio-Geometric Integration (BGI) is a chiropractic technique that uses gentle adjustments to release tension and stress in the body. BGI is based on the idea that the body has an innate geometry and that subluxations are created and released by force dynamics. BGI practitioners use gentle adjustments to address misalignments in the spine and are tailored to each person's unique structural and energetic needs. This low-force and gentle technique helps release energy from subluxations and integrate it into the body, which allows the nervous system to function more optimally. BGI helps create maximum opportunity for self-healing and memory in the body.

Soft Tissue Manipulation for Hiatal Hernia, Prolapsing Uterus or Bladder, etc.

A Chiropractor's hiatal hernia technique involves gently pulling the stomach back down into its proper position below the diaphragm. This non-invasive procedure can help relieve symptoms of a hiatal hernia, such as heartburn and acid reflux.

How it works

  1. The patient takes a few deep breaths to relax.

  2. The chiropractor places their fingers on the patient's stomach as they inhale.

  3. The chiropractor gently pushes the stomach down as the patient exhales.

What to expect

  • The patient may be positioned standing or reclined.

  • Some short-term discomfort may occur during the adjustment.

  • Most patients experience immediate relief.

  • Patients may hear and feel the stomach gurgling fora few minutes after the the adjustment.

  • Multiple adjustments may be needed to achieve optimal results.

A hiatal hernia occurs when the upper part of the stomach bulges through the diaphragm. The chiropractic technique relieves pressure on the hiatus by returning the stomach to its natural position.

Activator Technique is a specific type of chiropractic adjustment that uses a handheld, spring-loaded instrument called the Activator to deliver gentle, precise, quick and low force impulses to the spine. This impulse helps to restore proper alignment and reduce pain. This technique is suitable for patients with sensitive spines or osteoporosis.

Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) is a chiropractic technique that concerns itself primarily with the cranial sacral respiratory mechanism. This is a wavelike oscillation in the covering of the brain and spinal cord. Although quite subtle, this motion is essential for the normal functioning of the brain and spinal cord, and thereby the rest of the nervous system and the rest of the body. It functions much like breathing air, in that it has a cyclic tightening and loosening phase. Ordinary respiration–breathing air in and out–also affects and can be used to normalize cranial sacral respiratory action. The normal function of the cranial sacral respiratory mechanism is recognized as a primary function of life in the body and must be normal if all functions of the body are to be normal. Like other chiropractic techniques, SOT also corrects abnormal spinal mechanics and any associated nerve problems. These can include back pain, headaches, dizziness, arm and leg pains.

Prenatal/Pregnancy/Postpartum Chiropractic

The Webster Technique involves gentle chiropractic adjustments that's commonly used during pregnancy. It's designed to correct pelvic misalignment and reduce tension in the muscles and ligaments. The goal is to create more space for the baby to move into the best position for birth. We use a drop table to accommodate the pregnant belly and focus on the pelvis and surrounding ligaments to reduce tension in the muscles. The Webster Technique can help ensure the baby is in the optimal position for birth.

According to research, regular chiropractic care during pregnancy can reduce labor times by 25-33%.

Chiropractic during pregnancy can help with:

  • Pelvic pain

  • Sciatic pain

  • Round ligament pain

  • Heartburn

  • Difficulty sleeping

  • Swollen feet and ankles

  • Headaches

  • Nausea (also adding enough of this vitamin)

Dr. Jen's mom had 8 miscarriages prior beginning regular chiropractic care and becoming pregnant with Dr. Jen. She carried Dr. Jen full-term and had an unassisted frank-breech home birth with her. Dr. Jen was adjusted at 2 days old by Dr. Virgil Strang.

Dr. Jen was adjusted through each of her FOUR pregnancies, labors and immediately following her unassisted home births.
